The TBI Pro Bark Collar is a product of the TBI Pro Company. TBI is actually an acronym for The Best Industries which is the full name of the company in question.
The Best Industries as a company produces electronic devices some of which happen to include bark control collars. However, we should point out there that this company is not strictly a dog brand as it carries other electronics that are human specific.
Anyway, back to The Best Industries. Apparently it was founded by a number of engineers. So, you should understand why its products are basically electronic. You don’t exactly expect a bunch of engineers to play around with just nylon and leather.
Now about the product. The TBI Pro Bark Collar is a bark control collar. And so, we think it is absolutely necessary that you go check out this article on dog training collars just so that you have the basic idea of what this collar is about.
In this review, we’ll be looking at the makeup of this collar; its different components and the function of each of those components.
We’ll also be telling you whether or whether not the collar does what it should as individual parts and as a combination of those individual parts. We’ll kick things off by answering this question:
Who Can Wear The TBI Pro Bark Collar?
Seeing as the TBI Pro Bark Collar is a bark control collar, it already suggests that it is meant for dogs who need to learn a thing or two about proper bark behavior.
Which automatically excludes really young puppies, really old dogs, pregnant and lactating mothers and also invalid dogs.
However, more than that is who and who the collar can fit. The TBI Pro Bark Collar is an adjustable collar that should fit dogs that weigh between 7 and 120 pounds.
Any dog that weighs less should probably not be wearing any kind of electronic collar in the first place. Now to the features.
Features Of The TBI Pro Bark Collar
1. Bark Receiver
As the name suggests, the bark receiver is the hardware that is responsible for picking up the barks from your dog. Now in doing this, the receiver does not necessarily pick up what it understands to be bark sounds but vibrations from the wearer’s neck.
This already tells us two things. One, the collar has to be snug against the wearer’s neck; not tight but snug. This should allow the collar correctly pick up the vibrations coming from the wearer’s throat.
Two, there is a reduced chance of the collar picking up random bark sounds from other dogs.
Furthermore, aside picking up the ‘wrong behavior’, the bark receiver is also sends the appropriate correction. The TBI Pro Bark Collar comes with 3 correction modes: warning beep, vibration and shock.
However, while most other bark collars administer the corrections progressively, that is, from warning beep to vibration and then shock (depending on how long the wearer continues to bark), the TBI Pro Bark Collar allows you to shut off the shock option.
Furthermore, the TBI Pro Bark Collar has this feature that causes it automatically shut off if it has been triggered for up to 7 times in one minute.
So, if your dog continues barking so that the collar has to correct him for up to 7 times in one minute, the collar will take a one minute break before resuming.
Also, you should know that the TBI Pro Bark Collar has 5 sensitivity levels. All these features allow you to tailor the collar to your dog’s specific needs and even weight.
One more thing, there is a digital display screen on the receiver on which you can see all the operations you’re doing on the receiver.
The electrodes come in handy when the collar is on the shock mode. The static shock will be transmitted from the bark receiver to the wearer’s neck via those electrodes.
Now, the TBI Pro Bark Collar comes with two pairs; one long and one short. The idea is for there to be a pair for your dog irrespective of the length of his fur or coat.
Furthermore, because the TBI Pro Bark Collar comes with 4 pairs of silicon covers. The silicon covers are meant for the electrodes so that the metal does not have direct contact with your dog’s neck.
3. Collar Strap
You should already know that is what actually goes around your dog’s neck. However, what you probably don’t know is that the TBI Pro Bark Collar comes with two collar straps: one is nylon while the other is leather TPU.
Both the straps are adjustable and reflective. However, while you can toss the nylon strap in your washer, you can’t do that with the leather TPU. Also, while the nylon strap uses a plastic buckle for a clasp, the leather TPU makes use of a metal buckle.
Both the straps are water safe, though, just like the rest of the collar. But you’ll want to remove the collar if your dog is going to be submerged.
4. Test Light
The test light is necessary to help you know if the shock option actually works. What you need to do is place is above the connected electrodes and then trigger the receiver. The bulb should light up if the shock option is functional.
5. USB Cable
The TBI Pro Bark Collar is rechargeable and so comes with its own USB cable. You can plug this cable to practically any device that has a USB port. Also, the collar can hold the charge for a reasonable period of time.
6. Training Manual
The TBI Pro Bark Collar comes with one training manual to help you figure out the working of the collar.
Is The TBI Pro Bark Collar User Friendly?
You should be able to figure out what to do with the TBI Pro Bark Collar especially as it has a display screen. The TBI Pro Bark Collar sure does make things that much easier.
However, because of the sensitivity of this collar, we advise that you inform your veterinarian and or dog trainer before going to pick up a bark control collar for your dog.
Pros Of The TBI Pro Bark Collar
1. No Shock Collar
While the TBI Pro Bark Collar isn’t exactly a no-shock collar, we do like that you can shut off the shock option and use it as one.
2. Two Collar Straps
We really do like that the TBI Pro Bark Collar comes with two collar straps. However, what we like more is that the collar straps are made of different materials. This gives more options than if both collar straps were made of the same material.
3. Silicon Covers
We also like the silicon covers because they prevent the metal electrodes from having direct contact with the wearer.
4. Digital Display Screen
This is not a common feature in bark control collars. So we like that TBI taught to feature it on this collar.
Cons Of The TBI Pro Bark Collar
Now, while the collar is meant to pick up vibrations from your dog alone, there is still the probability of the collar going off if some other dog barks close enough.
Alternative Options To The TBI Pro Bark Collar

More Affordable Option
If you are looking to save a bit of cash, you could try put the DogRook Dog Bark Collar. This collar is a no-shock collar, that is, it doesn’t feature the shock option at all.
Furthermore, The DogRook Dog Bark Collar uses replaceable batteries, so you’ll have to stock up on those if you’ll be going with this collar. You should know, though, that the collar comes with two batteries.
One more thing, instead of 5 sensitivity levels which our featured collar features, this one comes with 7 sensitivity levels.
The Barkguard Citronella Anti-Bark Collar neither features shock nor vibration. It uses what is referred to as citronella fluid as correction.
What happens is, when the collar detects the bark sounds, it shoots a spray of citronella to the wearer’s face.
However, we should mention here that the Barkguard Citronella Anti-Bark Collar doesn’t come with its own fluid and Barkguard doesn’t even produce it. So, if you’ll go with this collar, you’ have to get the citronella fluid from another brand.
You should check out this review for more information on this collar.

What People Think About The TBI Pro Bark Collar
People actually seem to like the collar; one of the reasons being that it comes with two collar straps. However, the fact that there is that tendency to pick up sounds from other dogs that are close enough puts a slight dent on things.
Because we are not excited about shock collars, we like that the TBI Pro Bark Collar allows you to shut off that correction mode.
