This collar is made of nylon and coated with polyurethane.

3. Clasp And Leash Ring
This collar uses a metal buckle as a clasp. The buckle is coated to make it water-resistant, too, just like the rest of the collar.
This way, you can be sure that the entire collar (material and attachments alike) will not succumb to rust.
The metal clasp also serves as the adjustment mechanism. To get it to fit right, you just need to feed the metal tongue through the hole that’s best.
And if you feel the holes do not reach far enough, you could just bore another hole in the strap.
Or better still, you could send it back to Yellow Dog Design to bore a new hole for you. You know, just to be on the safe side.
The leash ring is another metal thing on this collar that is coated to be protected against rust. It is also securely sewn into the collar to keep it on for a long time.
