The text on this collar is engraved and then painted on. The collar is both hand engraved and hand painted. You are allowed to choose the style the text will come in so be sure to choose something chic.
The text is really bold and Custom Catch says it should be seen from 5 to 10 feet away. This is a really nice idea for dogs who do not appreciate close contact or communication. Instead of having to come close, squint and risking agitating an already agitated dog, you can see all the information you need from a distance.
We’ve already said that the engraved text is painted on. However, know that, with time, the text will fade off. Because it is engraved, the groves will remain but it will no longer be visible. You could just paint it again when it fades and it should be good.
3. Clasp And Leash Ring
The Custom Catch Personalized Leather Collar uses a metal buckle for a clasp. It’s that one that you usually see on your belt.
What this implies is that this buckle will also double as the adjustment mechanism. It has five adjustment holes, all of them properly inter-spaced.
It also has one loop strap. The strap is metal and is located very close to the buckle. The strap is sewn into the collar which we think is a better idea than allowing the collar have its way.
The D Ring is originally meant to hold your dog’s leash. It is also made of metal and sewn into the collar. The idea for having it sewn into the collar in this instance is so that it doesn’t come off when the leash is pulled on.
The buckle, strap loop and D Ring are coated such that they should not succumb to tarnish or rust.
