Who Can Wear The GoTags Engraved Nylon Dog Collar?
This collar is meant to be worn by any dog. It is comfortable and can be found in a number of different sizes.
Features Of The GoTags Engraved Nylon Dog Collar
1. Material
This collar is made of nylon. Nylon collars are some of the most common collars in the market and for good reason. Aside the fact that they tend to be cheaper than most, they are quite comfortable.
That said, while the collar is comfortable, we would have loved for the material to be a bit stronger. As it is, it will start to fray after some use. Maybe the edges could have been better smoothed out.
For the good stuff, the collar is washable, by machine or hand. It also means your dog can wear this while swimming or taking a bath. No need to take it off.
2. Identification Tag
Most personalized dog collars have the information put directly on the collar. However, things are a bit different with this collar. In fact, it is a kinda cross between a personalized collar and an ID tag.
Ok the deal is, whatever information you want is engraved on a small plastic card. That plastic card is then slid along the collar and that is basically it. So while you don’t have an ID tag hanging from the collar, you also do not have the information printed directly on the collar.
Now if you are worried that, for some reason, the plastic tag will slide off the collar, you need not. The tag will stay on the collar for as long as the collar is. Well, unless you decide to remove it yourself. Plus, your dog shouldn’t be able to remove it too, unless he has thumbs.
One more thing, the tag has enough space for up to four (4) sentences. Which is actually more than most personalized collars allow. So you can write your dog’s name, your phone number and/or contact address and still have enough room for something cute.
Did we mention that the text is engraved? Engraved usually means the information doesn’t fade.
3. Clasp And D Ring
This collar uses a metal buckle and so, doesn’t feature a tri glide. So all the adjustment you need to do is done on the buckle.
Because GoTags knew that dogs would wear this collar in and around water, it coated the buckle to make it rust resistant.
The D ring is also a coated metal ware and is sewn right into the collar so that it doesn’t come off the collar when pulled on.
Is The GoTags Engraved Nylon Dog Collar User Friendly?
There isn’t much to the operation of this collar. And even if you’ve never worked a collar, this one won’t give you problems at all.

1. The Identification Tag
We said before that the identification tag on this collar is not something you see every day. So, if anything, this collar is a unique thing.
And we know that unique is not always good but this one is. This is because it doesn’t hang and cause distractions. Also, because the information is not on the collar itself, there is a possibility that it outlives the collar. And if it does, you could just transfer it to another collar.
2. Washable
The collar is made of nylon so it will be alright if submerged in water. It sure helps that the metal ware on this thing (buckle and D Ring) are coated to prevent rust and tarnish.
3. Comfortable
This collar is soft and comfy. So your dog won’t feel the need to pull it off. Also, the collar shouldn’t cause cuts, abrasions or any form of injury. Maybe it is not cloud comfortable but it is definitely comfortable enough.
Cons Of the GoTags Engraved Nylon Dog Collar
We’ve already said that the GoTags Engraved Nylon Dog Collar could have been stronger than it is. Because the way it is, it could start to fray after some use. Hopefully, you’ll get one that doesn’t.
Also, you’ll want to be careful when ordering as regards the size. To be on the safe side, probably order two sizes up. It is better to have a collar that is a little bit too big than one that is a little bit too small. That is why the collar was made adjustable.

People especially love this collar for the flexibility of the engraved information. Since it is on a removable plastic tag, you can slip it on to another collar with similar width.
Also while the tag can be removed if you want, it cannot come off on its own. So you win on both sides. That’s another reason people like it. However, maybe if the collar itself was more durable it would have gained a better reception.
