Dogcare is not just the general term used for everything one needs to do to and for one’s dog but is also the specific brand responsible for the creation of the Dogcare Dog Training Collar.
The Dogcare brand is a dog related brand that incorporates the use of tech in the design and creation of its products. Hence, its products include such things as training collars and training mats, majorly.
Apparently, Dogcare does a lot of research into the psychology of pets before producing anything for them. Thus, it has a number of labs where these researches are carried out, most of which are based in the United States of America.
The Dogcare Dog Training Collar is just one of those products apparently born out of a lot of research. The Dogcare Dog Training Collar, as you must already know, is a training collar.
Don’t know what a dog training collar is or think you don’t have enough information on said kind of collar? Check this for more information. You should also check out this article on dog shock collar and we’ll explain the reason for that soon enough.
Moving on, in this review, you’ll get to see what the collar is about; its features and what each feature is there for. At the end of this review, you should be able to make an informed decision to or not to get this collar. But before we go into the features…
Who Can Wear The Dogcare Dog Training Collar?
The Dogcare Dog Training Collar should primarily only be worn by dogs who are in training. This also suggests that dogs who are not the right age (older than 6 weeks) or the right health status should not be wearing this collar.
Knowing this, you should also know that the Dogcare Dog Training Collar adjusts to a maximum of 27 inches. So, you should already know what that indicates. Now, we can get to the crux of the matter.
Features Of The Dogcare Dog Training Collar
1. Remote Controller
The remote controller is basically like every remote controller you know; a rectangular black box with buttons on it. Furthermore, the remote controller is responsible for whatever actions the collar receiver takes (we’ll discuss the collar receiver later).
For this purpose, there are a number of buttons on this collar and we’ll explain to you what they are for. First off, on the side of the remote is a lock button.
The idea is to make sure that you do not accidentally click a button, causing the collar to send a correction mode. Once you’ve engaged the lock button, the other buttons will not respond to clicks. Cool, right?
Anyway, since we are kinda on the topic of correction modes, let’s talk about them. The Dogcare Dog Training Collar is a shock collar (see why we asked you to read up on dog shock collars now, don’t you?). So, its primary correction mode is static shock. Others include vibration and beeps.
You can decide to do without the static shock and just stick to the vibration and beep options. There is a button for each of them. However, if you want to go with the shock option it could work for you.
Why? The shock option ranges from level 0 to level 99. So, you should be able to choose a shock option that isn’t so intense for your pup. For this, there is a button tagged ‘level’ that is responsible for getting you through.
Furthermore, the number of collar receivers that this one remote controller can control is quite phenomenal. Most other remote controllers that allow for two or three at the most.
However, the remote controller of the Dogcare Dog Training Collar can control up to 9 collar receivers all at the same time.
2. Collar Receiver
First off, you should know that the receiver of the Dogcare Dog Training Collar is kinda big compared to other training collars. Especially if it will be worn by a small dog.
Furthermore, the collar receiver on the Dogcare Dog Training Collar is, of course, what is necessary for actually sending the correction mode. The collar receiver can be reached by the remote controller from about 330 yards away.
What’s more? The Dogcare Dog Training Collar (both the remote controller and the collar receiver are rechargeable. It has a micro USB port and so can be charged from basically anything from your laptop and tablet to even a power bank. The battery lasts long enough.
Now, for the static correction mode to get to the wearer, there are two static electrodes. Thankfully, the electrodes are covered with little silicone sheets. These sheets should prevent the static shock mode from being too intense when it reaches the wearer.
One more thing, we should mention here that the Dogcare Dog Training Collar is waterproof and so can be used to train your dog in the rain. However, we don’t think it is a good idea for you to go dunking this collar.
3. Collar Strap
The collar strap is one part of this collar that you can dunk all you want. In fact, it can be washed whether by machine or by hand.
Furthermore, the collar adjusts to 27 inches at most. Also, the collar strap is pretty durable and shouldn’t give you any issues as to durability.
It features a plastic buckle for a clasp and a plastic tri glide for adjustment. What’s more? The strap comes in just one color; black.
4. Instruction Manual
The Dogcare Dog Training Collar comes with an instruction manual which contains fitting and usage instructions that are easy to read and follow.
Is The Dogcare Dog Training Collar User Friendly?
You should be able to figure the Dogcare Dog Training Collar out, especially if you’ve used a training collar before. The buttons are properly tagged and easy to understand. However, the training manual should make things easier for you.
Also, we must say here that seeing as the Dogcare Dog Training Collar is a training collar, you should be sure to inform your veterinarian and or dog trainer before you get it.
Pros Of The Dogcare Dog Training Collar
1. Number of Collar Receivers
We like that the Dogcare Dog Training Collar can accommodate up to 9 collars. This is more than most collars allow for and it makes things easier if you have more than 3 dogs. Because you’ll be able to train all of them from the same remote instead of juggling a number of them.
We also like that the Dogcare Dog Training Collar is waterproof. Because it makes it so that you can train your dog in the rain.
Cons Of The Dogcare Dog Training Collar
One issue with this collar is that the receiver is a bit bulky. This should not be an issue for larger dogs. However, smaller dogs might have a problem with the bulk of the thing.

Option With Replaceable Batteries
If you would rather not use a rechargeable collar and so want one that uses replaceable batteries, you might be looking for something like the PetZip 4in1 Dog Training Collar.
Both the remote and the collar make use of replaceable batteries and the PetZip 4in1 Dog Training Collar comes with two. This collar is also less expensive than our featured collar.
What’s more? The remote is sizable with few buttons on it and so you should be able to navigate your way through the remote easily enough. Check out this review for more information on this collar.
