Who Can Wear The Findway Rechargeable Shock Collar?
The Findway Rechargeable Shock Collar is a training collar so certain dogs do not need this. Small dogs and puppies younger than 6 weeks should not be made to wear this collar. Aside the fact that it could prove to be heavy for them, the static shock will just be too much for them.
Other dogs that shouldn’t be wearing this collar include pregnant and lactating mothers, invalid dogs and also senior dogs.
Features Of The Findway Rechargeable Shock Collar
1. Remote Control
It is with this remote control that you get to determine what goes on with the collar. It, of course, carries a number of buttons, each of them sending different messages that will be received and acted upon by the collar receiver (more on that later).
One of the buttons on this remote is the mode button. Now to better understand what this button does, you’ll have to bear in mind that this collar has two correction modes: vibration and shock.
So what the mode button does is help you navigate between the modes. We think that if you’re going to be using this collar, it is advisable to start with the vibrations and see how your dog responds to those.
Furthermore, there are two navigation buttons (up and down) on the side of the remote. Now, remember the two modes? Each of them has 100 levels to it. So, the navigation buttons are what you’ll use in going through the levels of whatever mode you’ve set.

2. Collar Receiver
The receiver is what actually gets to be on your dog’s neck. It receives instructions or information from the remote control and acts on it by sending the appropriate correction mode.
The collar covers a decent range. However, this is totally dependent on how many obstacles are in the way between you and your dog.
Now, on the Findway Rechargeable Shock Collar, you’ll notice a set of shock probes. When fitting the collar on your dog, be sure that the probes actually touch his neck. Because the probes are responsible for transmitting the shock sensation. This collar comes with 1 pair of replacement probes.
Seeing as the Findway Rechargeable Shock Collar is a rechargeable collar, it comes with its very own charger. And the collar actually holds in the charge well.
However, finding a replacement for that charger isn’t exactly the easiest thing. So, if you’ll be getting this collar, be sure to handle the charger with care.
Furthermore, the area where the charging port is has a protective rubber flap over it. You could use it to cover the port to protect it against accidental (and sometimes intentional) moisture spillage.

3. Collar Strap
This is what helps the collar receiver stay around your dog’s neck. It is made out of nylon and is fairly durable.
The strap comes in only one size. Luckily, there is a plastic tri glide on the strap which you can use in getting the collar to be the right size. There is also a plastic buckle on the strap for fastening the collar around the wearer’s neck.
4. Test Light
The test light is supposed to help you know if the shock function works. What you want to do is place it above either of the probes and then press the right button on the remote. If it lights up then it works.
5. Instruction Manual
The Findway Rechargeable Shock Collar comes with one instruction manual that is meant to help you navigate through the usage of the collar. The instruction manual is written in simple English.
Is the Findway Rechargeable Shock Collar User Friendly?
As a matter of fact, the Findway Rechargeable Shock Collar is user friendly. Especially seeing as it comes with a training manual.
However, we have to add that you make sure that a professional (veterinarian or dog trainer) has given you the go ahead. This collar (like all training collars) is sensitive and so should not be used all willy nilly.

We like that the Findway Rechargeable Shock Collar is rechargeable. Because in the long run, you’ll realize that you’ve saved a bit of money on replacement batteries.
We also like that this collar is able to retain its charge for long periods. This is dependent on how frequently you use it, though.

We like that little touch of rubber protection for the charging port. Because this means that water will not be getting into the port.
