The outer-layer of this dog raincoat is made with water-resistant material. We are just not sure which material it is as the manufacturers do not mention. We do know from customer feedback, however, that it holds well against rain.
If we were to take a guess though, we’d say the material is polyester because a lot of customers complained that when they opened the product, it smelled a lot like plastic. So, if you intend to buy this product, you’d have to keep up with that smell for, at least, the first few months of use.
