This collar is made of 100% polyester. The polyester used is pretty high grade and is serious about being comfortable.
However, as regards durability, we aren’t so sure. This dog collar is definitely not the strongest in the market.
For one, if you have a dog that pulls on his leash a lot, you might want to stay away from this collar. We say this because the collar will snap (usually around the buckle) if that amount of pressure is applied on it.
By extension, you cannot use this collar to tie your dog to a poll or whatever. It will snap.
It comes in a variety of colors and designs. Some are just bright colored while others have unique patterns and designs to them.
The variant of this dog collar that comes in a bright color can be used as a high visibility collar because it is really bright. However, it is not to be used in the dark or in dim light. It is basically for hunting and general outdoor stuff.
It can either be hand washed or machine washed. Plus it is pretty lightweight and dries pretty easily and quickly.
2. Clasp And D Ring
The Pet Champion Adjustable Dog Collar uses a metal buckle for a clasp. However, the buckle is not your regular metal buckle with the buckle head, metal tongue and adjustment holes. This one looks and is operated much the same as a regular plastic buckle.
The buckle is coated so that it does not succumb to rust and tarnish. However, we sure wouldn’t say that this buckle is the strongest there is because with more than enough pressure, it could come undone.
The D Ring is metal and is durable enough. What we mean here is that it should not succumb to rust seeing as it is coated. However, talking about whether or not the D Ring will stay on, we can only say that is dependent on how durable the collar itself is. And at this point in this review, we are sure you understand this.
3. Tri Glide And ID Tag Ring
This collar is adjustable (as the name implies). So it features a tri glide that is used to adjust the collar to size.
Thankfully, there is a rectangular looking ring that you can hang your dog’s tag on. You can also hang some little things to that ring like a small accessory or something. But do not hook a leash to that tag. Use the D Ring!

Seeing as this collar is a basic collar, one can’t expect much by way of mechanics, handling and such. Basic collars are the easiest collars to handle and the Pet Champion Adjustable Dog Collar lives up to its ‘basicness’.

It should also be fine for small dogs and non-pullers.

We would have liked for this collar to have been a little bit stronger. Because as it is, you can’t use this collar on dogs who are very energetic and like to pull on stuff. The Pet Champion Adjustable Dog Collar isn’t built to withstand a whole lot of pressure.
However, seeing as the collar works great on non-pullers and doesn’t really cost much, it is hard to complain.
