The Coastal Pet Walk n’ Train Collar, though, is one of its nylon products. And the idea of this halter collar is to lead a dog from his muzzle instead of his neck.
Thus, a halter is fitted primarily around the wearer’s muzzle kinda like a muzzle. However, unlike a muzzle, a halter allows the wearer open his mouth and do whatever he would usually do without the halter.

Who Can Wear The Coastal Pet Walk n’ Train Collar?
This collar comes in 6 sizes: extra-small, small, medium, large, extra-large, extra extra-large. So, if it fits, your dog should be fine wearing it.
Now, just like every other halter, measuring this collar for fitting will have to involve, not just the neck but also the snout.
What Are The Features Of The Coastal Pet Walk n’ Train Collar?

- A plastic buckle and metal leash ring.

1. Material
The collar, as we earlier pointed out, is made out of nylon. The nylon is really strong stuff as it can very well hold in the wearer. That is, provided that you stick to the right size.
You’ll definitely not be using this collar for a tie out. And that isn’t a function of the strength of the collar but the fact that halters are not meant to be used for such.
The collar has a strip of padding under the nose strap. This makes this collar quite comfortable, allowing your dog wear it for as long as is necessary in the training process.
As for washing the thing, you can either machine wash or hand wash, whichever works for you. One more thing, the collar comes in just three colors: black, blue and bright pink.
2. Safety Strap
The collar features a safety strap. This safety strap will hang just below your dog’s jaw when he wears the collar. Furthermore, at the end of that strap is a metal clip.
What happens is, your dog wear’s his regular collar together with the Coastal Pet Walk n’ Train Collar. Then, you attach the metal clip to the regular collar.
This way, if, for any reason, the collar comes loose, you won’t have a loose dog on your hands. And this will be because the collar will still be attached to his regular collar. Smart huh?
3. Clasp And Leash Ring
This collar uses a regular plastic buckle for a clasp. The buckle is the right size and works as well as it should. When your dog is wearing the collar, the buckle should be behind his head.
As for the leash ring, there are a number of rings on this collar. However, the one you want to attach a leash to is the ring that attaches the safety strap to the main collar. So you’ll be leading your dog from below his jaw.
4. Tri Glide And Sliding Camlock
Remember that both the muzzle and and the neck area of this collar are adjustable. Thus, to adjust the neck area, you have a tri glide.
The sliding camlock, on the other hand, is what you’ll use to adjust the muzzle area. It is a plastic thing that you’ll slide along the length of the collar and snap close.
Is The Coastal Pet Walk n’ Train Collar User Friendly?
The Coastal Pet Walk n’ Train Collar is somewhat user friendly.
And by this, we mean that if you’ve ever used a halter collar before, you won’t have any problems with this one. However, if you haven’t, you might have some issues with how the collar should fit.
It isn’t something that a more experienced dog parent cannot help you with, though. Or better still pay your veterinarian or dog trainer a visit.

We really like the fact that the Coastal Pet Walk n’ Train Collar is padded under the nose strap. This is because it reduces the chances of the collar chaffing the nose of the wearer. Thus, allowing the wearer wear the collar for as long as is necessary.
2. Durable
Of course, we also like that the collar is really durable. Especially seeing as there will be a bit of pulling going on when it is worn.

The sizes are a bit all over the place; some are a bit bigger than what the sizes suggest while others are a bit smaller.
Also, you’ll need to prepare for the possibility of your dog not liking the collar. And it is not necessarily because it is uncomfortable but because it makes him do what he doesn’t want to.
