Who Can Wear The Black Rhino Padded Comfort Collar?

The Black Rhino Padded Comfort Collar was made to be worn by all breeds of dogs. However, this collar does not come in all sizes, even though it ranges from small to large. The smallest small size is 11 inches while the largest large size is 22 inches. Not a really wide range, as you can see which means that the collar only caters to a narrow range of dog sizes.

What Are The Features Of The Black Rhino Padded Comfort Collar?

The following are the features of the Black Rhino Padded Comfort Collar?

  • Durable, stitched material.
  • Thick neoprene padding.
  • Metal buckle clasp.
  • D ring.

1. Material

This Black Rhino Collar is made from a strong and durable material. This is important as the collar is supposed to cater to strong dogs that make a habit out of breaking out of their collars.

Also, to ensure that the collar doesn’t fray, the material comes stitched which protects it from the clawing or pawing hands of restless pets. Additionally, this stitching is moderately reflective to make it easier to locate your dog in moderately dim light.

Mind you, this is not a high visibility collar.

Now, this collar is a little heavy, which is, perhaps the reason it doesn’t run small. Only relatively large dogs would be comfortable with a collar this heavy.

The Black Rhino Padded Comfort Collar comes in different colors with the collar itself having a different color from the padding. All the collars are black but the neoprene padding come in different colors. Five different colors actually.

2. Padding

The inside of the Black Rhino Padded Collar is neoprene padded and the padding is pretty thick. This is to make sure that the part that touches your dog’s neck is soft and comfortable, especially since he’ll be wearing this collar for long periods at a time.

While the neoprene padding does make the collar comfortable, it could get slightly uncomfortable in very hot weather. The collar is thick and added to the padding, the collar isn’t exactly the airiest. But on the bright side, the collar is perfect for the fall and winter.

The neoprene padding dries pretty easily and is actually odor resistant. So at least, even if your dog sweats on the stuff, it won’t smell too badly.

3. Clasp And D Ring

The Black Rhino Padded Comfort Collar uses a metal buckle for a clasp which also doubles as the adjustment mechanism.

The buckle is not quick release, making it a good choice for dogs who have perfected the art of breaking out of their collars. Also, the buckle is made such that it can stand being in water.

The D Ring is another metal thing on this collar which holds the leash. Thankfully, the D Ring is sewn right into the collar. And seeing as the collar itself is pretty strong, we can conclude that the D Ring will be on for quite a while.
