Aside that, the AOLOVE Padded Leather Pet Collar is quite durable. Well as durable as leather can be. It should stay the same through pulling and water. You should note, however, that with constant wear there is a significant possibility that this collar will stretch out.
So what you need to do is, buy the collar that fits snugly enough when it is buckled at the first hole. This way, as it stretches, you can just keep buckling at farther holes and still be good.
Now, that this dog collar should be fine in water does not mean it should be tossed in a dryer or even hand washed. To clean it, all you really need are a piece of rag and leather cleaner or polish to wipe down.

2. Clasp
The AOLOVE Padded Pet Collar uses a metal buckle just like you find on your belts. Now, because of this buckle, this collar doesn’t have a tri-glide. All the adjustment you need to do on this collar will be done using the buckle.
By the way, there are about 5 adjustment holes on this collar. So if hole number five it is still too tight, then you know this collar isn’t for your dog.
The buckle itself is made of alloy. Plus, it comes nickel-coated to ensure that it doesn’t succumb to rust. This is supposed to, to a good extent, prolong the life of the buckle.
There is only one belt loop on this collar which is not necessarily a good thing. Because it could mean having the strap just hanging loose like that. However, with the way the D Ring is placed, it could suffice as an extra belt loop.
3. D Ring
The D Ring is also made of alloy and coated with nickel. Now, though the D Ring can be used as an extra belt loop, it is originally meant for the leash.
Please, do not hook the leash to the belt loop. It is made of leather and will pull off at the slightest pressure. Always hook the leash to the D ring.
