This collar is made of leather which is pretty sturdy and can hold its own against a lot of handling and pulling.
The Warner Brand Cumberland Collar is handcrafted which suggests some level of attention to details. And while we wouldn’t exactly call this collar anti-scratch, it sure takes some effort for the scratch to show.
That said, with constant wear, this collar will expand. Thus, in picking the right size for your dog, be sure to factor that in.
Furthermore, this collar isn’t padded on the inside. So, it might not be the softest in the market. However, it is still pretty comfortable.
Just like with practically every other leather product, you’ll need leather cleaner if you’ll be going with this collar. A little bit of that on a piece of rag should be OK for a wipe down.
That said, we think the edges are well done; smooth without jagged edges or loose leather sticking out and posing potential threats. The stitching is also well done and looks good.

2. Customized Tag
Remember we mentioned that this collar is a personalized collar? Well, unlike most other personalized collars that have the information printed on them directly, this one bears a small brass tag upon which information is imputed.
The tag measures 2 ¾ inches in length and ¾ inch in width and information on the tag is computer engraved. You are allowed 22 characters including spaces and those characters can be spread into 3 lines.
The tag does not come off easily as it is attached to the collar with rivets that are nickel plated. So, they are also rust resistant.
3. Clasp And Leash Ring
This collar uses a metal buckle for a clasp and for adjustment too. As a result of the latter, there are 5 adjustment holes; one hole 1 inch apart from the other.
Also, this collar does not come with a strap loop. So you’ll have to make use of the strategically placed leash ring.
The leash ring is another metal thing on this collar. And just like the buckle and the rivets, it is nickel plated. This way, they have a sort of protection against rust and tarnish.

Also, the hardware on this collar (buckle, leash ring and rivets) are made of solid metal and then coated with nickel. This way, they’ve been given that extra bit of durability.

Now, while the rivets used in attaching the tag to the collar are really sturdy, the tag itself isn’t very. It will probably get bent quicker than you expect and is also kinda susceptible to rust.
