Who Can Use The ThinkPet Outdoor Dog Raincoat?
Basically, any dog can use this dog raincoat. Slim dogs, big dogs, small dogs, whichever dog, provided it is available in his size.
What Sizes Are Available?
- Extra small.
- 2XL Large.
With these many sizes available, there’s only a slight chance that you won’t find a size that fits your pup.
Well, in the slight chance that you don’t, head on to our alternative options. There you would find other dog raincoats that should have your dogs’ size.
Features Of The ThinkPet Outdoor Dog Raincoat
This dog raincoat is made with a double-layered design. What this basically means is that there is one material used as the outer layer, and another used as the inner.
The outer-layer of this raincoat is the main “coat”. Because of that, it is made with water-resistant material.
We do not know the material used to make the outer layer of this dog raincoat. However, from customers feedbacks, it holds pretty decently under the rain.
This raincoat is fleece-lined, meaning that the inner-layer of the dog raincoat is made with fleece material.
The fleece used in the inner-layer of this dog raincoat is to keep your dog warm.
This is quite commendable that the manufacturers added a warm layer for your pooch.
When it gets really cold, your dog would need more than a raincoat that protects him from rain, he’d need one that will guarantee him warmth.
However, one thing you need to know about fleece is that it is not easy to dry.
If you intend using a raincoat for 7 days in a row (if it rains that frequently where you live), then this might not be good for you.
After every wash, you might have to wait a day or two for this dog raincoat to dry.
By the way DO NOT spin-dry, only air dry.
This dog raincoat is available in 6 different colors, viz:
These colors are great, all except black. As beautiful as it is, black is not a color you can pick out in the dark.
And for a raincoat that will often be used when the clouds are out and the skies are dark, you need something visible, like the other color options.
To add to the visibility of this dog raincoat, the manufacturers add a reflective stripe across the back of each dog raincoat.
This reflective stripe glows in the dark, and therefore, makes your dog easy to spot by you and by others.
Although this stripe does a good job, for extra safety, we would advise that you stay away from black. Any of the other 5 colors would be a great pick,
1. Leash Access Hole
This dog raincoat comes with a leash access hole; a small slit on the neck of the dog raincoat. You use it to attach your leash to your dogs’ collar or harness.
This dog raincoat is made with a really flexible and breathable material. This makes it very adjustable.
Furthermore, the under-belly of this dog raincoat is made with elastic cord design. This design makes it suitable for your pup whether he hasn’t eaten for the whole day, or he just had a full meal.
Also, it’s pretty easy to wear and take off your dog. No sleeves mean your dog can run freely even if his legs would get wet.
1. Size Runs Too Small
Basically, this was the complaint of most customers, and we understand their frustrations.
After measuring your dog properly and extra carefully and crosschecking with the company’s size chart, getting the wrong size delivered can be very frustrating.
You might need to look at other dog raincoats because even the customer feedback on this one might not still get you a suitable size.
It’s quite like a thing of luck. Some people get a perfect size, others get something way smaller.
2. Not For Active Dogs
With the way this dog raincoat was structured, together with the kind of materials used, we would say it was not made for rough terrains.
It’s meant for a walk around the block, a run in the park, but definitely not for the forest or climbing mountains.
If you use this dog raincoat in rough terrains, you would be very lucky if it comes back in one piece.
3. Doesn’t Have A Hoodie
One might argue that some dogs don’t like hoodies, but there are others that do.
It would have been more thoughtful of the manufacturers to place a hoodie on this dog raincoat but make it removable.
That way, the customer and their pup would be able to choose whether they want to use the hoodie or not.

What Do Other People Think?
Frustration, frustration, everywhere! “After going through all that stress, I get something that can’t even fit my cat” was someone’s complaint.
The bad sizing really puts people off on this product.
What Do We Think?
Aside from the sizing being an issue, this is a pretty decent dog raincoat, at best.
Quite adjustable, good colors with a reflective stripe. However, there’s no hoodie.
For us, this is not worth it. However, if you feel differently, you can go ahead and get it following the link below…
