1. Material

This is made with pretty tough nylon webbing. This should make the collar strong and resistant to the elements, thereby making it stay around for longer.

Nylon is also a good choice if you are looking for a collar that won’t scratch or chaff.

Now, this collar is also made with reflective stitching that helps the collar glow in the dark.

It might not be an awesome choice if you both go hunting. But if you ever need to walk him in the dark or he gets lost in the dark, you’ll be glad the collar is reflective.

The reflective stitching is guaranteed to last through frequent wears, washing and pulling.

2. ROGZ Fort Knox RogLoc

However, its fun name should give you an idea of how tight the buckle is. The plastic buckle secures the collar around your dog’s neck quite alright. But that isn’t what earns it the name.

The buckle itself has a lock. So when you’re done clasping the buckle, you lock down the collar like Fort Knox and prevent accidental break out.

While this collar is difficult for your dog to break out of, it is pretty easy for you to operate.

 

3. The Fun Spin

This collar has a special feature that ROGZ calls the Low Load Tech. This is basically a load ring positioned in and around the buckle.

The idea of this load ring is to reduce pressure on the buckle. So as the collar takes all the stretching and pulling that come with wearing a collar, pressure is inadvertently mounted on the buckle.

And this could reduce the life expectancy of the buckle.

The load ring takes a good deal of the pressure on itself, thereby increasing the buckle’s life expectancy and ensuring that the buckle stays fixed.

We think it is vital to mention that the load ring is made of chrome coated metal. This is awesome because chrome makes the ring rust resistant and tarnish free.

4. D Ring

With this collar, the D Ring is stitched on the collar and not soldered. If it was soldered on, it would pull out at the slightest hint of an enthusiastic pull.

However, with the D Ring stitched on or better still, a part of the collar stitched around it, it stands a better chance of remaining on the collar through all the pulling.

Is The Rogz Utility Reflective Dog Collar User Friendly?

We’ll say kinda. In fact, this collar owes its slight complexity to its attempt at being secure.

Remember that the buckle comes with a lock. So when you want to clasp or unclasp you have to go through the process of unlocking before unclasping or locking after clasping.

Now that we think about it, it’s probably not really about complexity. It is probably about the time you’ll have to dedicate to the entire process. But hey! It’s worth keeping your dog safe isn’t it?
