The outer layer is water-resistant which is different from waterproof. This means that it’s not completely waterproof. It just resists moisture for extended periods. It doesn’t present such a huge drawback though, it’s not like you plan to live in the rain with your pooch forever.
b.) Inner-Layer
The inner-layer of this dog raincoat is made with really thick material. If we were to take an educated guess, we would say cotton or fleece, based on what we’ve seen about the material.
The material is really warm. So, if you live in sub-zero climate conditions, then you should rejoice over this one. It will definitely keep your dog dry and toasty however low the temperatures get.
In fact, the manufacturers sell this dog raincoat as a double product. On one hand, it’s a dog raincoat. On the other hand, it’s a dog winter coat. If you’re looking for something to last through fall and winter, you have found the right one with this.
However, if you have a big, hairy dog, you might want to run away from this. The dangers of having a cold pup are as bad as having an overheating dog. Overheating might even be a lot worse because it’s harder for you to spot.
