1. Color
This backpack is available in two colors: black, and tan. These two colors represent the toughness of the backpack.
While this is good to show tough looks, we do not think that it is very functional. For a color to be considered functional for a backpack, it needs to be a high-vis color, something that can help you pick out your pooch in the dark.
So, if you’ll be taking your pooch for a walk in the night, while he’s wearing this pack, be sure to know that it will not make it easier for you to see him. Therefore, to keep him safe, you should keep him on a leash or attach an external light beam to the backpack.
2. Material
This backpack is made with a mixture of two solid materials: polyester and nylon. These are two of the most popular materials used in making dog backpacks and raincoats, and for good reasons.
Before moving forward, it is important that you note that the nylon material used in this backpack is not normal nylon. What was used is 1000D Nylon, which is a lot stronger and tougher than normal nylon. You can immediately see reason why 1000D was preferred to the normal nylon.

4. Control Mechanisms
There are two controlling mechanisms that come with this backpack. The controlling mechanism used is determinant on proximity between you and your pooch.
When you’re close, the backpack features two handles on top of the backpack. One at the neck-end, the other at the tail-end. These handles can be used to adjust your dogs’ position, move him quickly from a position, or lift him for a brief moment.
Please, do not use the handles to lift your dog for a long period of time. The handles are not very strong. Because of that, they can easily cut if you use them to lift your heavy dog for a long time.
When you’re far, you use your leash. Just like the handles, there are two metallic d-rings. You can hook your leash to any of these metallic D-rings, one at the neck end of the pack, the other at the tail-end.

The best pro about this backpack is that it contains so much space. The volume of space this backpack has is as a result of it having three pouches, instead of two. These pouches allow you to pack all your dogs’ essentials, and a little of yours.
If you’re going on a multiple-day journey with your pooch, this is great. It can carry as much as 4-days supply of food, comfortably, and still carry other stuff like: poo bags, treat bags, water bottles, and so on.
