Did we mention that the Max And Neo Martingale Dog Collar is a martingale collar? Well, it is. And like all martingales, this one is a training collar. Now, what this means for you is that, your small puppy shouldn’t be wearing this collar. Well, basically any dog who does not need training.
One very important variable for determining who can wear the Max And Neo Martingale Dog Collar, or any collar for that matter, is the size. The collar comes in four (4) different sizes; small, medium, medium/large and large.
The small adjusts between 12 and 14.5 inches while the medium adjust between 14.5 and 16.25 inches. On the other hand, the medium/large adjusts between 16.25 and 19.25 inches while the large adjusts between 19 and 25 inches.
Features Of The Max And Neo Martingale Dog Collar
1. Material
The Max And Neo Collar is made of nylon that is sturdy and comfortable. So, it should live through being pulled and pawed on. Furthermore, it is properly stitched. So we don’t expect it to succumb to wear and tear by fraying.
Also, like all Max and Neo collars, the Max And Neo Martingale Dog Collar is stitched with reflective thread. And the reflective thread is really bright. This way, when light bounces off the collar in the dark, the wearer will be properly seen.
Bear in mind that the Max And Neo Martingale Dog Collar doesn’t make the wearer see properly. However, it makes the wearer be properly seen.
This collar comes in just four colors with absolutely no designs; black, blue, pink and red. It iis actually washable, whether by hand or by machine.
2. Design
Like all martingales, the Max And Neo Martingale Dog Collar is made into two loops. One loop that goes around the wearer’s neck and the other which we like to refer to as the martingale loop. Now, this martingale loop is what is responsible for tightening the collar.
You pull on the collar (or your dog does), the martingale loop tightens, thereby tightening the entire collar. However, you should know that the loop is not adjustable and so the collar will tighten as much as the loop allows.
Martingales are considered to be humane training collars, though. So, the martingale loop should be just enough to make the collar tight when it is pulled on but not choking. However, be sure to never leave your dog unsupervised when he is wearing this collar.
3. Clasp And D Ring
This martingale dog Collar features a plastic buckle for a clasp. The buckle is really durable and you should have no problems working it. Especially seeing as you’ve worked with something like it before.
The D Ring is what you are supposed to attach your dog’s leash to. It is sewn securely into your collar so that even when it is pulled on, it will not pull off easily. The D Ring is made of metal and is coated so that it does not succumb to rust and or tarnish.
4. Tri Glide And ID Ring
The Max And Neo Martingale Dog Collar is an adjustable collar that uses a tri glide for making those adjustments. The tri glide is made of plastic and is also easy to operate.
Now on the collar, you’ll notice a black plastic logo of the band. Right next to that logo is a little plastic ring. That ring is what you are to hang your dog’s ID tag to or a small accessory. Basically anything small. You shouldn’t be looking to hanging your dog’s leash to that tag.
One thing though, that tag isn’t really strong. It is most probably going to break off after a few uses. Just be prepared for that.

You don’t need any form of education or special knowledge to be able to use this collar. It is an easy to use collar that should pose no challenge for even the most ignorant of noobs.

This is a really strong collar that we expect to be together for quite some time. The edges are properly stitched so that they don’t fray easily.
The attachments on the collar are also either made of durable plastic or of durable metal. The collar can also survive in water.

The Cetacea Chain Martingale Dog Collar is our opposite spectrum because it is made of two different materials. The main loop is made of nylon while the martingale loop is a chain loop made of metal.
