Living life on the edge can be very exciting. Enjoying the outdoor adventures, nature untamed, and so on. However, to do this safely, you need tactical gear, and the same goes for your pooch. Today, we’ll be reviewing the Jasgood Tactical Dog Backpack. You can click here to find out about dog backpacks, in general.
Before looking at the product we have for today, we want to first of all, look at the brand that brings us this product, Jasgood. Jasgood is a Hong Kong company that belongs to the EMIT International Group Limited. Its sister companies include: Werforu, and Whippy.
The name, JASGOOD, is an acronym that stands for “ Just Attractive Stylish Good” connoting the basis on which the company says it designs all of its product, style, and quality.
Beginning in 2014 as just a costume designing outlet, Jasgood doesn’t just produce nice clothes, it produces tactical gear, just like the backpack we’ll be looking at today. One thing we must point out is that this company is fairly new, with half a decade of experience.
However, one can argue that what this company does not have in experience, it might have in innovation. You know the millennial generation is all about innovations and ingenuity. If you’ve tried any products from this company, please leave us a comment down below.
Who Can Wear The Jasgood Tactical Dog Backpack?
Well, from the name, you can already see that this backpack is not your average dog backpack (by that, we mean saddlebags). With that in mind, you can tell immediately who this backpack is meant for.
The pack is meant for big dogs who love to be outdoors, dogs who don’t mind a little heavy-lifting and a little extra work. So, if you have a big dog who is very enthusiastic about going on adventures, he can use this backpack.
Finally, see your vet before purchasing this backpack. Ultimately, he’s the only one who can tell whether or not this backpack is healthy for your dog. Also, he’ll be able to tell you how much weight is enough, and how much is too much for your pooch.

Features Of The Jasgood Tactical Dog Backpack
This backpack is a pretty well-designed backpack that is made with 3 different materials. The outer-layer of the backpack is made with 1000D material. This is regarded as one of the strongest types of materials used in making backpacks because it is thick and strong.
Apart from being strong, 1000D nylon is also water-resistant. So, in the event of a light drizzle, you’re sure that your dog and the valuables in the backpack are protected.
Speaking of water-resistance, this backpack takes it to a whole new level with the existence of the second layer. The second layer is made with rubber waterproof material. With the combination of the 1000D and rubber, your dog is sure to remain completely dry.
The final layer of the backpack is made with mesh material. The mesh lining is so that the backpack is breathable. Breathability is an important factor to consider, especially if you intend to go out with your pooch when it’s hot. You do not want your dog overheating.
Also, we all know how slippery rubber is. Because of that, backpacks sometimes slip along our dogs’ backs. With this mesh lining under the rubber, there would be no sliding or slipping. The back remains still on your dogs’ back.
Just like every other tactical backpack, this backpack is “tough-looking” and fierce. It also comes with three detachable pouches.
Because these pouches are detachable, the Jasgood Tactical Dog Backpack can act as both a backpack, and a harness. To use it as just a harness, you’ll not need to attach any of the pouches.
This versatility is very good, in the sense that, it provides you with options. You just want to take an evening walk, a walk around the park, or an early morning jog? Use it as just a harness to attach your leash to. Want to go on an awesome adventure? Attach the backpacks and fill them with essentials.
Another thing with this design is that it allows you three pouches. The traditional dog backpack (saddlebags) only offer two pouches. This extra pouch equals more space to put more stuff. If you’re one who likes to go camping or on other long trails, this should excite you.
3. Color And Sizing
The Jasgood Tactical Dog Backpack is available in three colors: tan, camo, and black. These are the colors you usually find attached to tactical backpacks. We’re sure you wouldn’t want a sky blue or baby pink tactical backpack.
However, because these colors will not make your dog any more visible when it’s dark, it is advisable to always carry a torch. That way, you can always know your dogs’ whereabouts and keep him away from danger. This is especially if you don’t leash him.
This backpack is available in three sizes: medium, large, and extra-large. Just like we said earlier in this article, this backpack is meant for large dogs.
To find the right size for your pooch, measure his chest girth, and his back length. Below is the company’s sizing chart:

There are other features of this product which we would be listing below. They are not unimportant, they are simply less visible and less noticeable than the ones we have discussed earlier.
- There are two carrying handles on the backpack. They are strong enough to lift your dog. However, it’s not advised to do so for a long period of time.
- This pack comes with two D-rings for leash attachment. The two rings are at opposite ends, on the top of the backpack.
- There are several Velcro patches scattered around the pack to which you can add morale and training patches. Patches sold separately.
- Molle on both sides of the pack, so you can attach other stuff to the bag.
Pros Of The Jasgood Tactical Dog Backpack
1. Tough and water-resistant. Even your phone will be safe in this backpack.
2. Quite durable.
Cons Of The Jasgood Tactical Dog Backpack
1. The backpack still slides off the wearer’s back despite the mesh lining. You can manage this by lining your dog’s back with a tee-shirt or a pillowcase first before putting on the backpack.
2. The sliding issue also caused irritation for some dogs.

What Do Other People Think?
Really good backpack except for the sliding part. Once people were able to discover such a quick solution to the problem of sliding, the entire backpack was loved even more.
What Do We Think?
We think that this is a good backpack, especially for the price. You don’t find a wide range of choices for tactical backpacks under $50. However, there might be a slight problem of overheating as you would have to place a cloth underneath the pack. Aside that, good pack.Click here to get yours now!
