Who Can Wear The DADYPET Dog Training Collar?
This collar is recommended for dogs who weigh between 10 and 88 pounds and whose necks measure between 10 and 25 inches.
However, more specifically, this collar should not be worn by dogs who are not in top health. And this includes pregnant and lactating dogs.
Puppies (younger than 6 months) and senior dogs should not wear this collar as it is too sensitive for them. Finally, you probably don’t want to use this on an aggressive dog as it could worsen the aggression.
Features Of The DADYPET Dog Training Collar
1. Remote Transmitter
On the transmitter, there is an antenna that is responsible for ensuring that whatever signal is sent by the transmitter is received by the receiver.
Thus, the transmitter is able to reach the receiver from as far as 1000 feet away. And is supposed to reach that distance irrespective of obstacles.
Furthermore, there are 4 buttons on this remote. Three of those buttons are the mode buttons; static shock, vibration and warning tone. Each of the mode buttons has an icon that represents their function so you won’t have issues figuring out which is for what.
That said, there are 8 levels of intensity for the vibration mode and 16 for the shock mode. To increase or decrease the level of intensity, you’ll be making use of the navigation buttons on the side of the remote.
Furthermore, whatever operation you’re carrying out on the remote can be seen on the LCD remote including what intensity level each mode is on.
Furthermore, the last button is what you could call the channel button. This feature is represented by the ½ icon and its function is to help you switch between collars if you have more than one connected to the remote transmitter.
Finally, at the bottom of the transmitter, you’ll find a charging port which suggests that the remote is rechargeable.
2. Collar Receiver
This collar comes with a receiver that is held to the neck of the wearer with a strap. The collar receiver has its own power button on the top of it.
Furthermore, the receiver has two electric shock nuts on it. Those nuts are especially useful in the shock mode for sending the shock sensations to the wearer.
You also get a pair of nut covers to make the shock nuts less sensitive. Finally, the collar receiver is waterproof.
3. Collar Strap
The collar strap is made of sturdy nylon and stitched with reflective stitching. As a result, it can also serve as a high visibility collar.
The collar strap uses a plastic buckle for a clasp and uses a tri glide for adjustments.
Is The DADYPET Dog Training Collar User Friendly?
It is pretty easy to figure out how to use this collar. However, consider speaking with your veterinarian and/or professional dog trainer before deciding on any training collar.
Pros Of The DADYPET Dog Training Collar
Reflective might not exactly be what you’re looking for when you check out a training collar. However, it is surely something to be happy about if you find it.
Why? It allows you spot your dog in the dark or dim light even without a LED collar or tool. That’s like getting two collars for the price of one.
2. Separate Mode Buttons
You might appreciate this feature more if you’ve ever used a remote with just one button for the different modes.
With those remotes, there is the probability that you’ll mistakenly send a wrong correction. The separate mode buttons allows you send the right correction mode at every particular time.
We also like that the DADYPET Dog Training Collar because it means that you both can continue the training in the pool.
Cons Of The DADYPET Dog Training Collar
We think that if the remote had a button lock feature, it would make this collar that much safer. Because, not only will there be less chances of sending the wrong correction mode, there will also be no chances of sending false corrections.
Furthermore, you want be careful with the shock option. It has been known to pack quite a punch.
So, the best thing is to start out with the beeps and vibrations and only use the shock option if the former do not work. And even at that, you want to start with the least intense option and watch how your dog reacts.
